I actually liked this. I never thought about how it would have gone over if he had actually pursued her. From reading the whole book I can see why the author didnt want to put a scene like that in, but I still think this was a good off shoot from that.

I could see this just as easily as I could see what actualy happened. This might have been a little sweeter that SM's version though. I loved how you had her respond "no" to the are-you-lying-you-can-tell-me question. SM does that little trick several times in teb book.
