I love this story. It's really hard to find stories like this, where authors remember that Italy is an old nation with a bloody history. You can't go through that and win, and still be an idiot.I like your writing style, with those nice, impactful bold lines.

Its really mind opening to see Italy being viewed in such a light (YES! I too agree that Italy is OLD and has hidden worldly wisdom that no one can see), also opens up a lot of thoughts behind the meaning of the white flag.

I also like how you associate his habit of not keeping his eyes open with the terrors of war.

Ahh! I love this story. The format is excellent, how you take short sentences and elaborate on them, and I love experimental (so to speak) writing, so...

I really enjoy your take on why Italy joined the Axis Powers. I am a firm believer in and staunch supporter of Serious!Italy, and so the way you take that is just amazing. :D I like the implication that he's almost sabotaging Germany on purpose, for his own good. Sometimes, one forgets how old Italy is, that it just doesn't make sense for him to be purely silly with nothing behind it.

There were a few typos, so next time make you you have someone else read it over first.
