This is terrific. Wonderfully original and yet true to the basic established characters. Turns out so much of this foreshadowed the (admittedly ordinarily framed) series in that Red John was protected by government and Lisbon's team (especially Jane) had to cope with the mindless, grinding gears of justice misapplied. Thrilling.

This is more fantastical than my usual fare, but definitely intrigued. Glad you wrote it and looking forward to reading the rest. Thanks.

What a love story this is - of a madman with death, of a sane man with his city, of a weary and broken man with the woman who gave him back more of his humanity than he believed, and of two young cops together. It's brilliant and affecting. I don't know why I never read this before - but I am glad I did now.

Oh what a wonderful final chapter - and beautiful ending. This was incredible - thanks for the read.

I liked the slowly switching from Cho/Guardian to simply just Guardian as he readjusted to his new status. The Inscrutable's panic came across beautifully... and and... oh Sylph. *sniffs*

You know, the motorcycle thing is even more amusing knowing that Tim Kang actually does ride them. Made me giggle... did like his uncertainity at his new identity and that The Inscrutable pretty much did it for him.

And oh Sylph... *worries*
