I only found your page recently, and I'm currently working my way through the stories at high speed ;-)

I loved this one, and giggled out loud at the "slag" comment (somehow, in spite of being British, I hadn't considered the other meaning!).

I also wanted to say that you've done a really job of making his voice sound British - ok, there were some sentences that didn't feel quite right (and the vibe I'm getting off him is distinctly mid-upper class) but on the whole nothing major.

(For future reference, Brits call a hood a bonnet, and would probably call Ironhide a pickup, but definitely not a lorry :-) )

The American comments are AWESOME. I really dont get some of them because im American myself but they are very funny.

This is such a cool story. I don't understand much about mechanics and even less about car repairs - and nothing at all about sentinent alien robots - but what I would give to be in Johnston's place! Thank you for sharing his story! His job must be the coolest in the world. Even if you have to repair knuckleheads like Skids and Mudflap at one point or the other, every day most likely too, it would be great to just trade with him. It's really interesting to see the Autobots from Johnston's perspective and being allowed to work with them. And that the Autobots trust a human like Quinn or Johnston to get them fully functional is such a wonderful addition that makes the work so much more gratifying, even if it's Skids and Mudflap you have before you.

I found the test Ratchet set up really interesting too and it fits so wonderfully the situation Johnston and his colleagues might find themselves in one day about the Autobots' technology. Thanks for writing his point of view.

LOL about " the voice of God" describing Optimus. It totally works and got me thinking about how he sounds to someone who has never met nor seen him.

I personally would find it fascinating if you wrote an "Introductions" piece on Jolt since (in the movie) all the audience sees of him is his blue alt-form and briefly with his "whips."

This was really interesting. The interactions between the 'bots and Johnston were awesome! :]

I dig it. Honestly, I'd love this job.

There is also another possible understanding of Optimus Prime- First of the Best. Not the best translation, but in this case, probably fitting. He leads a team made up of the best, hand picked by him.

Also... Skids and Flaps begging like that is just funny, clinging to Ratchett's ankles and crying. And ROFLMHAO for "God save us – the Autobots were Americans!"
