I believe that some of the decolonization might go that easily and those are two of the places about which I would not be very worried, but if it all went that easily I would suspect that something was up.

A bittersweet conclusion that showcases both the light and darkness of Zuko's life as Firelord. You write some amazing Mai/Zuko, and I love the raucous interaction he shares with his friends,. The conversation with Iroh was just the right note to end this on, I think, as is the reflection that Zuko has the support and love of those around him. Of course, when you juxtapose the timeline of The Promise with these set of events there's all sorts of irony. :(

Ha, this is a refreshingly different view of Zuko's starting days as Firelord. I like how you build up the tension and then ruthlessly knock it down, and play with fandom tropes like his emo hair. Nice doze of comedy and romance, too, with the Gaang and with Mai.

I liked the scene that implied Zuko has been learning airbener techniques. ;)

Unfortunately, Mai at the end just reminded me of everything I hate about her. Indifferent, unsympathetic. Oh well.

Ummm you're awesome-I don't even like Mai, and you made me appreciate her and the Zuko/Mai relationship (which I formerly did not like). I thought the proposal thing was just about the sweetest, most in-character thing that I ever did read! I loved this story and I can't believe it is actually complete! I want more, lol. :) You have a really easy to read writing style, and I loved it. :D

xD I love everyone picking on Zuko; he's much too fun to tease. This was very heart-warming! paranoid!Zuko being reassured by his friends that he was just being negative was uplifting, somehow. Very much enjoyed!

I really love this! Especially the Zuko/Mai, and the characters all being together and happy at the end; this story really delighted me. Poor Zuko, always waiting for the other shoe to drop!

I really love this take on Zuko's realm. It somehow seems so much more plausible to me than the total doom and gloom fics!

Aw, this is kida sweet. I really like the way you wrote about Zuko. I think you got him spot on, uncle iroh and Mai were also very good, you should do more of these!

This story is lovely, funny, in-character, and a little sad at times. Also, I love stories that write Mai as she really is.
