Very nice. It must have been a hard decision for Frodo, but I think in the end he did the right thing. And the little hobbit kids are so CUTE. : )

Beautiful work, and nice use of the line! I love the notion that Frodo appears to be becoming more like an Elf, and ready to fit in at Valinor. The sense of alienation is very well rendered and the story's atmosphere is pitch perfect.

Niggle:

As he sat down, Frodo decided to write TO Elrond in the morning

The nitpick is about the Americanism. I'd have let it go for a US fandom, but this one is English. Apart from that, it's perfect.
