This is such a sweet story. The idea is wonderful and each character is portrayed well.

I like the idea of Gibbs writing to Shannon something that is important to him

Aw Tonys was sad. He didn't even send it and had to say Tony your son at the end. Like his dad wouldn't even know his own son. And also so sad that he said the team is there to care for him. I mean that a good thing but the fact the his own dad doesn't. Or that he was scared Gibbs would send him home soon.

Aww Gibbs was so sweet. A letter to his wife. Talking about Tony like he would be there son. So sweet. I think if Shannon and Kelly were alive Tony would be a great big brother and son. And Shannon would love/mother him to death. And I think he would love it.

I loved this plot idea.

This was great looking at the same incident from three different perspectives.

This was a very creative idea! It wasn't surprising to me that Kate wrote to her parents, or that Tony wrote to his dad then didn't send it. Though it would have been interesting to see what would have happened (on the episode too) if Tony's dad had actually been contacted. And Gibbs' letter...oh you just about made me cry! Having my own Jethro/Shannon situation, I write letters to my sweetheart all the time (he's been dead 2 years). The way he signed off about killed me, "like we always said, my heart to yours" aw...And then the last line...well it had me reaching for the tissues. This is good stuff, thanks for sharing it with us. :) Jen

those were some great letters. they just got better as the chapters went by. but really, i can imagine Gibbs writing something like that - his own version of a diary to Shannon. You should write one for McGee too.
