This is phenomenal! The summer the two of them spent together, the situation in Peyton's room at the end of summer and the school shooting...how I wish this is what we viewed. I love this and hope you are thinking of a follow-up!

Like everyone else, i wished this happened in the show. You did a great job pulling at my heartstrings. I simply adore Peyton and how selfless she is...constantly putting other people's feelings before her own happiness.

Great story as always.I liked this one in particular because IMO that summer gave Lucas and Peyton the time they needed to forgive each same thing happened with your fic,they have a new awesome dynamic(the romance part was just an added bonus to me).Keep making your amazing stories!

I, too, have a hard time believing that nothing happened between them that summer, and though I've already written one or two stories that explore that, I've been thinking about writing another. It's just such a blank canvas!

This was great, how you kind of eased them back into their friendship. It wasn't instant, and I loved that, because the way S2 was for them (grr) I just can't see them both being besties right away again. This was totally realistic, and I really, really appreciated that.

The kiss was hot. And...awesome. ha! Then her avoiding him, of course. And when they finally addressed it and she kissed him again...loved that. It was romantic and sexy at the same time. Peyton convincing herself that he really wanted Brooke was, I believe, probably a pretty common thing that summer. She wouldn't have let herself be with him because he wanted someone else, so she would have told herself that a lot.

Her not letting him say that he loved her was a good touch too.

I totally thought you were going to end it at that scene in her room (as I was reading, I mean...) but then when I got there I realized there was more story (Yay!). I LOVED that you changed the shooting the way you did. Awesome.

How sweet and sad - I loved it. It was perfect L&P, their timing is always questionable but it lends to their sadness. I like that you were able to tie in visuals and quotes from existing episodes. It made it flow and feel natural - like maybe I just missed an episode. Great job.
