Tony was the one who was cold, and the b&w movie on TV was "Holiday Inn." There are a hundred procedurals on TV and I really believe that these sweet, familial moments are what makes NCIS stand out from all the rest. Love Daddy Gibbs taking care of his kids.

This was a sweet little story. It kind of reminds me of a real scene from the show, I can't remember what episode. Gibbs has the "kids" sleeping over his house. The scene opens with Gibbs poking the fire, and when the camera pulls back, it reveals Ellie wrapped up in a blanket on the couch. Tim and Tony are stretched out on their bellies in sleeping bags in front of the TV, like two little boys. Ellie complains that she is cold. Tim asks Gibbs if he has a kettle so they could make some tea or hot chocolate. Ellie responds that she could go for some hot chocolate and Tony sarcastically comments that of course she could. Gibbs shushes them. Then in what I'm sure is an ad lib, Tony accuses Tim of kicking him and Tim responds, "I'm not touching you." Gibbs snaps off the light, and they start watching "Christmas in Connecticut" (I think that's what it is.) You can find this scene on YouTube. You struck exactly the same, sweet, satisfying tone in your little tale. Very good job.

Just delightful, from beginning to end! I love Ducky's moose boxers, and the snowball fight, and Gibbs being back on potato duty, and too many more of the little details to list. And, of course, that last line.

I loved your story especially the part about Tony being shown the shed and the swat that didn't arrive where he was expecting it...also liked it when Gibbs admitted that this Christmas was his happiest...
