I loved this. I have to admit, Riley's not my favorite, although he is one of them. Brilliantly portrayed and the ending was perfect. Amazing.

i absolutely loved this fic! i can see ben not being very good at video games. it was funny to find out that his own mom is better at them than he is. why wouldn't riley think he wasn't invited? of course he's family! riley is my favorite character from national treasure. sorry ben, but the young man wearing converse sneakers with a suit wins. lol. i hope you keep writing fics like these! )

You are quite good at writing humor. I loved it when you twisted around the Indy game with having Riley relate to Ben that his mother is ashamed of his lack of prowess in a treasure-hunt computer game, which she bests him at! And of course RILEY! LOL LOL.

The moment you described when Ben, Abby and Riley enter the Gates, I could practically 'see' Riley there, looking awkward, uncomfortable, bemused, and then Patrick smashes him in a bear hug. Aw come on, we all know Riley's like his other son he never had, but your description of the scene was really so... Riley, Patrick, okay, basically NATIONAL TREASURE. And Emily acting so motherly towards Riley. (I LOVED her accusatory glances toward Ben/Abby about how they apparently aren't taking good enough care of him for her!)

Don't mind the title of fic, I think it was excellent! It played right into the story well, and showed Ben's brotherliness feelings toward Riley, and the whole Gates family's feelings on the subject as well.

OMIGOSH! I loved this, I loved the fluff and the characterization. I loved the part where Riley is talking to Ben's mom and his mom is better at the game than he is. I loved frantic running around Ben and the fact the Riley was shy at first but it turns out he was excepted as part of the family after all. And the last line was just adorable. I would love to see more National Treasure fics from you, either in this fic or another one :D Happy New Year! :)
