A good fic... and i appreciate the fact that you didnt seem to take sides in it. Because the sheer stupidity of both humans and aliens in the movie really grinds my gear -.- Near the end of the fic Jake talk about a middle ground, right? That middle ground was a simple trade agreement for unobtanium. There, as simple as that. But the na'vi just had to say fuck you to the humans advances, and the humans just had to mine the deposit right under the na'vi holy tree. Bah -.- At least this story got what the movie missed, and that when there is such stupidity on both sides is the weaker faction that get destroyed. Sucks to be na'vi, i guess.

The ending of the movie was better, of course . . . blue Jake with his lovely lady, living in a lush green paradise, the way life was meant to be lived. Your phanphic let the humans win . . . but nobody won, did they? Not really.

This is wonderfully tragic; a very unique take on the reversal of the film's ending. I sincerely hope this isn't something you're going to put down and forget about; I'd really like to see what happens next. Don't stop writing!
