That was incredible! I love the little minutiae, the details of Jim's life that make him so unmistakibly 'Jim.' And the fact that it's just for Bones. Great job, I absolutely loved this.

51. Bones is the only person in the world that Jim trusts enough to tell Bones that he was abused as a kid and only after he has enough alcohol in him to make even Scotty jealous. 52. Even though everyone pretends to know about his past and says, "I'm sorry", Jim hates being pitied and always says, No, you're not" I just really like this.

51: Jim bites his nails or sucks his thumb when he's under stress. Even though Jim's often bitten his nails until the nailbeds are bleeding and looks goofy with his thumb in his mouth ("Really? A 25 - yer old man still sucks his thumb?"), Bones gets turned on by it. I don't know why Bones would get turned on by that, but I think Jim sucking his thumb is funny.

51: Jim isn't too reckless or too young to run a starship. Contary to what the admrails think, his leap before looking, cocky, irresponible nature is part of him. The part of him that shows all the time. Only Bones knows that behind that is a caring, sweet guy with a troubled past.

Those were all wonderful...some sad, some funny, and some moving...but all wonderful. Lovely work.

i don't quite understand 23. Why would Uhura get his respect when she's such an ass to him all the time. she doesn't respect him (at that point, at least) and she can't be that smart if she can't see beneath the surface to the real Jim Kirk. he's a good guy.

'sides, there's confidence and there's self-righteousness. i feel sorry for the arm candy. it seemed out of character for Jim to be so rude for so little reason. He really does flirt with EVERYTHING, so it's not an unreasonable assumption to make.

liked most of the rest of the fic, though.

Jim always makes me happy, but these little thing things about him that nobody knows-yet could be so very true-makes me ecstatic. I adore all the ones with Joana in it, because those two would cause royal havoc but take over the world anyways, as well as the one about Bones sneakily doing stuff (like recording) so that he can have a memento of Jim's adorableness.

this was even more adorable than the bones one! i loved it so much, i was hoping that fifty would be extended to a hundred or something... :)
