This was very good story indeed. the bromance blossomed very nicely and mary was not an obstacle. she is not when she knows that she can't separate them.
I was biting my knuckles while I was reading, it was so intense and worrysome and great.

I loved this. It managed to be both hilarious and nicely plotted and the bromance... TEH BROMANCE AND MARYANCE. And a ton of whumph just to finish it off.
Also, I loved your name and your job. It just tickled me.

I simply had to drop you a line after finishing this story. As someone who has long been facinated with History, I appreciate anyone who actually works with it in a fictional story. I have read accounts of smallpox epidemics and I had also heard of the moldy bread wivestale. You do a wonderful job of not only inserting great historical tidbits but your characters reflected actions and words of their stations and situations during this time period.

On a side note, I must say that I love your last name, and find the irony of it very funny indeed. I wish I could have an interesting name that I can relate to, even though I was named after a character in a book, it isn't a book I am fond of, my mother was clearly. But I can at least laugh that at the irony that Sherlock means fair haired, and so does my name Flavia. At least that much, haha.

I just wanted to say that I love your Sherlock Holmes stories, especially this one. Re-reading it, I was struck by how well you portrayed the characters while also making the story your own. The description was wonderful, and the plot (which could have been disastrous) was executed beautifully.

And, as a final note, I'm glad you didn't portray Mary as being weak or clingy. Devoted, yes, but there are so many people that write stories where she's incapable of taking care of herself or others.

A very good story that showcases the good Doctor as the main hero as apposed to Holmes himself. Also reflected on how people could be to each other. The way you could be treated due to gender or nationality. And how an epidemic really can affect a city. well done

You, Assistant Professor Moriarty (can I just say, that is an awesome last name, even if its associated character was a bad guy) are brilliant. This fic was brilliant, and you are brilliant.

It was so well written, so true to the characters, and I love how you wrote the relationship between Holmes and Mary. The whole thing was fantastic and suspenseful, and I was on the edge of my seat the whole time!

Although, it has to be admitted, I'm a little ticked off at you. Why, you may ask? Because you flipping made my cry. Yes, when Holmes was saying goodbye to Watson, I cried like a little baby. And I'm blaming your awesome writing skills, instead of the fact that I'm an overemotional fangirl LOL :)

So... yeah. I think I'm nearly done gushing about how awesome this fic was. Definitely going on my Favourites list.

Oh, and I caught that thing about the penicillin. And the nuns were kind if really epic. Oh, yeah... and Long Live the Holmes/Watson Bromance!

I mean, the books made Mrs. Watson fairly easy to ignore if you wanted and the bromance was totally the most important thing. And the movie made Mary awesome while managing to amp UP the bromance somehow (into ACTUAL bromancery) but this? OMG. YES. Mary being like, dude, Sherlock, sharing is caring. And Holmes realizing that Mary is awesome and Watson loving both of them completely equally just differently and Mary being like, okay, well, fine, I'll just marry both of you then. And and and the way that people keep messing with them and it's like, do NOT get between these forces of nature thank you very much. And Mary! Being a force of nature too, to match them! Oh! And the nuns! Head!nun was such an AWESOME OC. And it was lovely to see Lestrade and Clarky fight so hard for their boys. Oh! This story!

*ahem* Er. Yes. I think this story is just a little bit perfect. I'm going to go read everything else you've written now and I'm sure that they will be EQUALLY perfect.

Excellent finish to a wonderful story!I was literally gasping to know what happened next at the end of chapter five-waiting for six was torture!

Absolutely spot on characterizations. A loving and lovely look at the friendship and devotion between Holmes and Watson. Fantastic, well constructed plot that kept me riveted. A lovely ending-I wished for a bit more of the recovery and returning banter,but that is just me being greedy!

Loved the detente for John's sake that Holmes and Mary come to. Holmes' selfless decision to stay at the quarantine station was touching, as was Watson's insistence that he be brought home to Baker was nearly the death of poor Holmes as it was with so many in the a blow against quarantine station doctors superiority and failure to recognize their own ignorance in banishing the nuns and their broth! Loved the line: ...I just believe that science is not merely practiced by White English male doctors. Amen!

I don't know whether I've reviewed before and I just want to say that your story is great and it's really making me want to read more. Please update soon and I hope your migraine clears up quickly
