This is probably my favorite Evangelion fanfiction. It's a damn shame that it's dead.

Another could have been great EVA fic bites the dust, it was fun while it lasted. You know how to write a good story, but I can see at this pace it would have taken you upwards of half a million words to complete this story at where you have stopped in line with canon.

You are so wonderful.

I've got to say that Wreckage has become my downright favourite Eva fix. The characters are well realized, the plotting is fantastic and well-paced, and overall the execution is flawless. All in all, this is both a great tribute to the original show and an excellent standalone work.

I'm disappointed... that I haven't seen this fic before. The characters are believable and the plot is interesting (I wonder what Gendou and Yui are planning and why they left Shinji). I wish you'll continue the story sometimes.

This is amazing.

An astoundingly well written twist on the Evangelion universe, this is probably one of the best character driven stories i have read in a good while. The people in the story are very well imagined, and acts utterly in character given the context of the story. Seeing the growth and trials of the people around NERV has never been so enjoyable.

I am not too sure what is happening beyond chapter 18, but i really, really hope there is more of it out there. Cannot wait to read more of this.

My word, this is good stuff. Really interesting scenario, and I've been loving the character interactions. I think it's neat how you've (I'm guessing) tweaked the consequences of the contact experiment to be simultaneously less severe in some ways and more damaging in others... it seems like rather than taking the test pilot's soul it extracts their capacity for maternal love, or maybe just love in general.

From a certain perspective, Kyoko's madness is even more terrifying than it was in canon... because rather than her delusions hurting Asuka as unintended (or unknown?) collateral damage, she's slowly and systematically destroying her without seeming to recognize or care about it.

I've seen Yui portrayed as a ruthless manipulator a few times, but I think this is the first fic where I've seen her written as just as cold, calculating, and unsympathetic as Gendo - if not more. It's kind of jarring, and you use it to good effect.

Despite my misgivings and some initial discomfort (due to my attachment to Asuka), I've been enjoying the development of Shinji and Hikari's relationship. It's warm and sweet and you've done a good job keeping it believable. It's seriously really cute watching him slowly let himself open up to her, and her to him. And Rei as curious observer is hilarious.

Asuka and Shinji's relationship is also really well done. I nearly always prefer them as a pairing (and there's a part of me that still has hope of that here... though I feel bad because I really like your Hikari); but sometimes it's even more satisfying just to see them become friends. Whether you stick with the currently indicated pairing(s?) or not, I'm looking forward to seeing their friendship grow. I know it won't be a smooth ride, but then where would the drama be? (Though I did enjoy "Blessing," even if it was indulgently fluffy.)

Speaking of people your Shinji opens up to, I really like your Ritsuko. She so often gets the short end of the stick (which does make a lot of sense in close-to-canon stories), so it's nice to see her getting to be a good guy. I was literally cheering during the Unit 02 testing sequence. Also, her internal conflict with her mother (I assume regarding motherhood, among other things) is really fascinating to me. She's just in general a really compelling character. Well done.

This is running long, so I'll leave you with the following: I think your characterizations, concept, and execution are top notch, and I very much hope that you will come back and finish this story some day. If that's not in the cards, I wish you all the best in whatever pursuits you choose (or have chosen for you) instead.
