This one is as dark regarding any hope for a happy life for Chuck as it can get. Sarah apparently is not *the* Enforcer, but a martial-arts-trained hooker, more a low-level agent serving mostly as a honey trap for low-level scum. The intersect and Fulcrum and everything just are mentioned in the passing to remind that this is a version of 'Chuck' all gone wrong. Still, this is well and cleverly written. It is either not complete or the author leaves it up to us how it ends: And it only can end in tragedy. Like, one of those not too important criminals may decide that the bang he got was not enough and decides that his buddies should join for a gangbang, and when Chuck steps in, both of them are killed. Something like that. The hint at 'having Tuesdays' is just a false lead, IMHO. So, a depressing vision of Chuck, but well-written.

Do the right thing Chuck. Leave and find Carol. Letting Sarah ruin something else because she is jealous whilst still banging marks is a mistake. Saying it's for the job is a cop out. It's Carol's job too, but at least she's honest about it. Trying to monopolise Chuck's life is just cruel. Every time Tuesday comes around Chuck will be dragged further under and make it all the more painful when Wednesday follows with another spread your legs for a scumbag episode. This is a worse Sarah than Rock and a hard place.

I suppose it is good form to leave a review when you have read a story more than ten times. This is a great story. I have read a number of Armadilloi stories. I'm sorry he is no longer with us. This short story of 3200 words captures so much and coveys so much. I would say it is his best piece of writing.

What a beautiful, beautiful story. Deep, sad, and so full of emotion, yet with an uplifting end to it that gives hope.

You know I'm surprised I never reviewed this one. This is most definitely my favorite of all of APR's work. I've reread it many times. It's brutally honest, sad, yet ends with a feeling of redemption for all five characters involved. Each one somehow helps find a positive ending even if they weren't aware.

The parallels between Sarah and Carol and the work they do is always a touchy subject that the show treed very lightly on. But not so here. It's that brutal honesty that makes it all work so well.

This is probably a top 3 one-shot for me and it stands head and shoulders above the great majority of all of the over 3500 stories in Chuck FF.

I'm so sorry to hear that your husband passed away. He truly was gifted. I loved his stories, this one is my absolute favorite. I thank him for giving me some stories to read when I was ever down. Thank you for keeping his account active.

I think this is the best Chuck story on this website, bar none. That you created a character, with depth and personality, to provide most of the narrative was quite an original concept.
