the only thing bothersome here is, with magic, it seems rather bizarre Harry's so important glasses could break so easily. Or that he'd only have one pair if they're NOT charmed/enchanted to be unbreakable.

If you'd had them summoned off/fly off his face and him unable to find them, leading to the same general plot element with Hermione, okay. But he's not been living with the Dursleys, he's lived with a fully magic family, who is also wealthy. No reason at all for Harry to just have some plain old muggle black-out glasses that in the story, Morticia had *made* for him.

Those things are easily purchased if needed, so the only reason to have a set specifically made, is if they're special somehow, are they just prescription? You had him reading and so on without them, so the blocking of light seems the only purpose for them. So why aren't they charmed/enchanted to not break, even to not come off unless Harry removes them?
