tanseynz chapter 48 . 6/2/2015 I cried through the whole of this because it is writing with a brilliance and a deep knowledge. Grief is exactly this - overwhelming, invasive, shattering and intensely exhausting. What was missing at the end was that it wears itself out eventually. Life isn't the same, it's different. Not worse or better. Just different. As Spock said, what you do with it is your choice. |
MuggleCreator chapter 8 . 6/24/2014 Brilliant. So sad, though. So *sad*. I'm favouriting this, but I'll read the rest another time. It's too sad for me right now. |
Dreamer chapter 48 . 8/29/2011 I enjoy your writing immensely with Observation being a particularly guilty pleasure of mine. While I appreciate this fic's detail and analysis on grief, I am a bit lost as to plot. Is this meant to be nothing more than an analysis/study of grieving? There does not seem to be any action per se and I am having difficulty finding a purpose, or visualizing a tangible resolution that the story is moving towards. I am lost. |
Doni chapter 48 . 7/3/2011 It is heartbreaking to see a man like Jim so completely buried by his apathy and grief. Understandable, but sad. |
Doni chapter 47 . 7/3/2011 Nice insight. |
Calimora chapter 48 . 7/1/2011 Gah. You always rip my heart out with these. |
Nocturnal Rose chapter 46 . 1/25/2011 Interesting can't wait for more! |
IloveJimmy chapter 1 . 1/7/2011 just finished reading all from chapter 1 to the last update, very well done, it's a sad and devastatingly realistic fic |
Doni chapter 46 . 1/7/2011 Ah, questioning himself. Maybe he didn't care enough the first time, but he cares now. He cares because it is a tie to his love. He cares because the man he loved would have cared, and sometimes that's all you can do. |
Doni chapter 44 . 1/7/2011 God, this chapter on top of the last two is quite moving. I guess it never hurts to start your day with a few tears. The pain felt by both Chris and Sulu was tangible. I'm saddened that Jim feels that because there were things he didn't know, that he didn't really know Spock; that he feels like he will change so much that Spock would no longer love him. Nicely done. |
Doni chapter 41 . 1/1/2011 We finally get to see some of Chekov's grief. Well done, though I wish I could read Russian. |
Doni chapter 37 . 1/1/2011 I am amazed at how much beauty you can put into so much grief. |
Doni chapter 35 . 1/1/2011 God that was painful, well done, but heartbreakingly painful. |
Doni chapter 29 . 1/1/2011 You really do do justice to the ups and downs of the grieving process. |
Doni chapter 28 . 1/1/2011 Touching. |
