Oh! Wow! This is beautiful. I mean it, really beautiful. The true mark of a good author. To make something so small and short have such an impact. Honestly, it was a very, very poignant piece. Gosh, "and left us completely vulnerable to kindness and love". You know, if I ever find out that there has been secret genetics experiments going on, I will be one of the first ones out there protesting. :) Honestly, we've begun to reach a point where we can't go back if we continue to take science as far as we are. This was awesome. Very neat how you recognized the underlying similarites, too. I hadn't really considered how Alec,Max,Zack,Tinga and everyone else were the same. Love shocked them; confused both their minds and their hearts. It was a beautiful piece from an amazing author. Love Amy

Oh, I love this! I can't believe I missed it! And I found it now just by chance. Guess I'll have to check your profile more often :) This was so short, but so meaningful in its message. Very touching. All the work that went into the X5s, all their abilities...and that's really all it comes down to: the fact that none of it makes them invincible like Manticore wanted because they are not invincible against love, and every one of them has suffered in some way for it.
