Real fun here! Great Millicent - a very inspiring character it seems, as quite a lot of the much too few Millifics actually are quite good - and the relationship between her and Lyle is both very touching and downright hilarious.

But 68 favs in 8 years seems quite cheap, so I'll give you one more. Thanks for writing and sharing!

This was great! No, I'm serious. Such great characterizations and plot. When I take the time to think about how Millicent would be (her being a background character, leaving tons to speculation) I picture her just as you've described. Brash, foreboding, and sharp witted; but then under that, just a somewhat insecure woman looking for affection because she has been denied it for so long. Perfect. And Charlie's character was great too. As was Molly and Arthur. The piece was written very well and is very worthy of a favorite from me.

I love Millie and how you've worked with her character to make her into someone kindish and beautiful, when all you had to work with was that she was heavy, in harry and ron and hermiones year, that she owned a cat, and that she had hermione in a headlock in dueling club!

So I decided to take your advice on what to read now...and I'm glad I did :) The way that you made Millie grow (even through Charlie's quite unobserving eyes) was wonderful. She went from the sarcastic, bitchy persona that we most often associate with Snape to showing her inner marshmallow and exposing her vulnerability. And showing it all through Charlie's eyes? Perfect. Because guys don't notice or interpret things the way girls do, and his confusion simply added to the cuteness of the whole story.

I definitely saw a marked improvement between the ones I had been reading and this. Cute, entertaining, sweet, and hot...I could definitely get used to this :)

That was soooo adorable! I loved it! I've always loved Charlie Weasley, but I've never really had an opinion on Millicent Bulstrode, but you made the chemistry between them almost palpable. Lyle was adorable as well. :) Good job!
