I think Phineas has adhd and some sort of disorder, while Ferb has autism. I have Aspergers and anxiety, and this was my favourite fanfic so far.

Über-cute. Even with the uncharacteristically serious moments, the characters were perfectly crafted. Your explanations for various elements of the story did a great job of bridging the gap between logic and cartoon. I just got Netflix and have been indulging in a Phineas and Ferb binge. I'm a sucker for adoption stories and the fact that the show's creators opted to make the main characters stepbrothers has always intrigued me. After my marathon I was really craving a sweet, insightful story along that theme and this perfectly hit all the notes I wanted. The detail of Ferb's autism was an especially well-handled touch. I've a cousin on the spectrum, and both my boyfriend and little brother register on the Asperger's side of things. I thought the explanation suite beautifully and was handled with intelligence and care.

So, to sum up, I loved it. Well done. :)

It's a shame the word has such a negative connotation. I find autistic people are some of the smartest, funniest, most amazing people ever, just like Ferb (and my brother).

If not for Across the Second Dimension, I would go as far to say that this should have been part of the original series (what, with the whole introduction of Perry to the family, Doof, and the agency).

It's true. Ferb is far more sensitive than Phineas. Phineas is without doubt extremely intelligent and caring, but he is also rather oblivious and naive. It makes sense that Candace would have OCD. Heck, you made everything in this show make sense-and it's a cartoon! Good job, you really have a talent for writing.

Yeah, I think it would make sense that Ferb has High- Functioning Autism. I have it, and I love taking this apart and can't stand when my routine is messed up.
