Reviews for Battle Lines
Guest chapter 1 . 5/14/2013

i'm sure they'd both enjoy it
professor who chapter 1 . 1/27/2012
nice very funny keep them coming you won a fan
Cheshire chapter 1 . 3/8/2011
Interesting concept of battles leaving scars - if Alfred has that many scars then Arthur really most be completely covered in them considering how much more England has been through.
bottle lightning blue chapter 1 . 2/15/2011
ooh i loved this - absolutely loved it. the twin tower scars were really fitting. and jeez poor alfred ;;
MeadowLark4491 chapter 1 . 10/17/2010
Wow. I loved this one. I agree that America isn't faking his happiness...usually. I think there are times in his history when he has put on the smile because it's what's expected of him, but I also think that most of the time he genuinely is the way he's portrayed. Well done on the characters.
Nicole-Dilona chapter 1 . 7/27/2010
I think out of all the stories about scars I like yours the best. The part about 9/11 really touched me, opened up my own scars I guess...Good job, it does take skill to do that to a person.

You're a wonderful writer, I'm looking forward to more of your work.
it's simply me chapter 1 . 7/1/2010
Well, if you're like me, and you force yourself to look at them through non- yaoi-ic(?) eyes, then it does seem more family/hurt/comfort more than anything, and a very successful one at that. So thumbs up for a good piece of writing!
Blue-Starlight92 chapter 1 . 6/21/2010
I didn't read it as a US/UK piece, I didn't even notice that it could be taken that way until I got to the end and read the Author's Note. But it's very wonderful, the characterization is spot on.
Cee-face chapter 1 . 5/9/2010
i've had this story on my favorites list for a little while and i've read it a lot, and i've decided that it's one of my favorite Hetalia fanfictions. c:

i think my favorite part was the Twin Towers/Pentagon scars. i loved the way you explained them, and it made so much sense and this is definitely my headcanon now. a-and the fourth plane was so sweet! i wish i had better words to convey just how much i love the thought you put into the scars, but i can't really think of any, so i'll just stick with saying that i love this fic, a lot. thank you for writing such a wonderful thing!
VanillaSlash chapter 1 . 4/23/2010
I definitely agree with your ending note about America being much more thoughtful than his outward personality indicates. He might be young comparitively speaking, but he has gone through some grim times. England seeing the scar he gave America was a touching moment, and the moment where England spots the childishness of America from when he was a colony to how he acts now was really sweet. - Well done!
Takada Saiko chapter 1 . 3/4/2010
I loved the part about the scar from the fourth plane. It was very touching :)
just another fma fan chapter 1 . 3/1/2010
Aww. x3 That was cute. I loved the brotherly-ness of it. And the wings bit was really thoughtful. I agree with you about America's character, too. Great story. xD
Hinata Uzumaki-sama chapter 1 . 3/1/2010
This was really cute! sad at moments but cute. You're right, Alfred really is a lovable oaf but that's what makes him so cool! great job!
LupinandHarry chapter 1 . 3/1/2010
I definitely agree with your characterization of America. Thats how I always perceive him anyways.

I really enjoyed. I had planned to avoid hetalia fanfic for a couple of days so that the whole US/Canada hockey thing would blow over, but I'm glad I logged on and got to read this fic. It was deep, yet not overly sentimental. Cute ending too.
