Reviews for The Fire Sermon
EugeniaVictoria chapter 5 . 10/16/2016
this was very good.
Guest chapter 4 . 9/10/2016
I love the last few paragraphs of chapter 4 because it points out another reason we like heroes. It is for their restraint in matters auch as this that we admire them all the more.
Guest chapter 3 . 9/10/2016
This is superb writing
Anon chapter 5 . 2/20/2014
I think your poetry about a soft first bud of life struggling in the cold explains eloquently why Eowyn in some ways suddenly warmed toward Faramir.
Anon chapter 4 . 2/20/2014
:( Always second best is a harsh fate.
Anon chapter 3 . 2/20/2014
This one actually makes me sad.
Anon chapter 2 . 2/20/2014
Gandalf seems very stressed here.
Anon chapter 1 . 2/19/2014
Impressive.
jamelia116 chapter 5 . 8/23/2013
The only thing I can say is, this story is worthy of its source. Thank you.
BlueBoxInTheSky chapter 5 . 4/16/2012

elanor of aquitania chapter 5 . 10/25/2011
With great enjoyment I read this story again, which has been since a log time one of my favourites.
silverswath chapter 5 . 2/22/2011
This is so very beautifully and carefully written, and such a cut above what we usually get to read here (which is enjoyable, but rarely stunning). Very, very moving. Thank you for all your work.
Darkover chapter 5 . 1/22/2011
This story brought tears to my eyes. It is deeply romantic, and you made me feel for both Faramir and Eowyn. I am so glad that they found happiness with each other at last. You did a fine job of portraying Faramir's feelings, about the White Lady of Rohan, about his father and his brother, and about his new responsibilities. Thank you for writing and posting this. Sincerely, Darkover
Syntyche chapter 5 . 2/10/2010
Excellent characterization and a great enriching of a beautiful romance. Thank you for posting this.
Emily chapter 3 . 1/26/2010
'And of all the mean things crawling on the earth that I despise, I hold a special contempt for those whose tongues are slippery with deceit.'

HA! Can you say...oh, I don't know...perhaps...no, it's much too far-fetched...oh, very well...GRIMA? : )

How very sweet, when they fall asleep on the grass together. It's very restful to sleep like that (on the grass- I've never done it on someone else's shoulder).

I liked the thing with images verses reality. Poignant way to end the chapter.
