Awkward Inc chapter 1 . 1/4/2014
That heartbreakingly beautiful. I love to read about Hetalia's not cute and funny side. You portrayed every country's turmoil really well. I'm sorry, but it's so good that I can't express it properly. You really did an awesome job here, I love your style and how much thought and depth you put in each development. China, Japan and Poland's left me speechless, specially Poland's for he seems such a plain character but you gave him another layer to him that I never saw it was there. I loved America's too; it was surprising to find out he cared so much for his natives, I never thought about it and the way you expressed his conflict between caring about England, having to move forward for his current children and don't being able to forget the bloodshed of his people was enlightening. I was seriously expecting him to wake up to happy memories of England during his childhood as usual, so that really surprised me.
I really wish you'd consider to write more about the other countries, specially France (I think his character is vastly deep and interesting). Again, this is an amazing piece. Congratulations.
Lycadius chapter 1 . 11/18/2012
;A; It's wonderful. Oh geez, I need some tissues.
Kagimine chapter 1 . 4/3/2012
I REALLY enjoyed the Prussia one; I feel like it's very canon, and that Prussia daily struggles with his right (or lack of) to survive and never be lost or killed or forgotten.

Poland's also left a large emotional impact on me. I really loved these stories.
TrillianAera chapter 1 . 1/28/2012
Oh my gosh that was amazing. Amazing.
perfectioninmypride chapter 1 . 11/14/2011
Beautifully dark in places, your characterisation was spot on!
Speadee chapter 1 . 8/8/2011
You described the countries' wars and other dark times well! The mood was right. It's true that light and other people can push the dark things out of our mind, but when we're alone in the dark, all those terrible things haunt us.

I wonder how all those countries can handle their guilt, regrets, and trauma, especially when they've had centuries of them. It's hard enough for me to have only a few hours of mistakes and misery.

I like how you had Italy and Germany's parts related, and the two together. I felt sorry for Russia, China, and Prussia since they had nobody to stay with to comfort them. For Japan's POV, I wonder how China would have been reacting. It would have been nice to read England's POV for America's version as well as Lithuania's for Russia and Poland's. I wonder how England and America handle their relationship since they don't like each other. I did like how you showed that Prussia's life is almost all about battles.
phoenix360 chapter 1 . 4/5/2011
Loved this fic, it was very powerful! I sometimes wish Hetalia was like this, instead of glossing over some of the darker parts of history. I loved how Prussia, of all countries, had an uplifting ending and it shows how strong he is compared to Ludwig or Ivan.

I look forward to reading your other stories!
HanatsuKoneko chapter 1 . 2/28/2011
It seems every nation, no matter how great, has its share of pain, ne? This was amazing. I cried through the whole thing. Truly, simply amazing. What a grasp on human life and emotion you have... I aspire to be like you. Well done.
nemiah chapter 1 . 7/13/2010
i'm speechless. but in a good way, kinda.
blind-alchemist chapter 1 . 5/29/2010
Thought-provoking, poetic, and at times hard to swallow... equally hard to put down.

This was a haunting, powerful piece that effectively captures many cruel and grotesque moments in world history. Your prose is excellent. Please continue writing.

Should have, should have asked this before [this is no accidental repetition, only not-so-accidental-lunacy]-

say, Sweet, are you bending the rules of titles [which would be RoT, hah] on purpose?
