my names gemma :D
StumbleAlong chapter 25 . 7/12/2013
"I've missed seeing this." Me too, villager. Me too.

This story has killed me. I am dead. The plot was fluid and interesting, and very well thought-out, and the character development was EXCELLENT. In so many stories, the characters hit a certain point and plateau, but you kept them alive and dynamic, and just...ugh, this story was awesome in so many ways. It kept me up until 4:30 AM because I HAD to finish...
Yamato chapter 25 . 8/27/2012
A few grammar and spelling mistakes but over all well done. I like how Gemma was no damsel in distress even when she was captured by Borgia and tortured. She's a real interesting character, that's for sure.
Techne chapter 1 . 4/18/2012
This seems like quite an interesting story. I found this in an advisory on one of the old AC forums and thought that I'd give it a read. Have to say, I like what I'm reading so far.
klandgraf2007 chapter 25 . 11/17/2011
I loved this story. Couldnt stop reading it. Your writing is fantastic and I swear at the end when Gemma killed Alessio I got teary eyed. Going over to read the sequel now. AWESOME JOB!
KrnYong chapter 6 . 9/16/2011
I dont know why, but the part where she tells the thieves about ezio reminded me of lassie. (like "whats wrong lassie? Timmy fell down the well?)

By no means do i mean i dont like it though! On the contrary, i love gemma's personality and the interesting twist of her self-imposed silence.
Heather chapter 25 . 7/3/2011
Amazing story! It's written beautifully and I enjoyed Gemma's character. Thank you for sharing )
Madam Pounds chapter 25 . 6/11/2011
I stumbled upon this story a few months ago and simply read the first few chapters before losing it in the midst of other fanfics that I was reading simultaneously. I mentally bashed myself over the head for forgetting the title to such a great story; I even have images or scenarios popping up in my head in the duration of time since then to the other day, when I found it once more. I spent the entirety of my Thursday night, Friday afternoon, and today finishing it.

I have so many things to say, I'm not sure if you'll even have the energy to read all of it.

First off, the plot, like many have said, is perfectly balanced; enough romance to make any calloused, under-the-wraps romantic - of course not referring to myself - squeal like a school girl in plaid; enough angst to keep it real and believable, rather than going to outstanding heights to simply keep the audience entertained. I had to read some sentences over and over again because I was more than astounded at just how much the surprise overwhelmed me each time it was presented.

The chapters are just how I like them; long and never ceasing to satisfy me. (*cough cough* that's what she said...)

The grammar and description is absolutely perfect, far from overbearing or vague. It kept me in tune and gave me a scene with each paragraph.

Ezio could not have been portrayed more perfectly. He was arrogant with confidence, and confident with arrogance. Hope that made sense. He wasn't mushy or clingy, but he did fall in love hopelessly, as if the Italian heartthrob didn't have enough women on his plate to deal with.

Gemma. Ah, Gemma, Gemma, Gemma. So much to say about the jade-eyed wolf. Just like Ezio, the character could not have been pieced together any better. Her snarky comments made me snort a laugh multiple times out loud, worrying most bystanders. The Il Lupo idea was played out without blemish, not to mention the entire coming-up of the Theives guild and her dressing like a boy. The story and her past had just enough drama to keep me on the edge of my seat - quite literally at times - but not enough that it reminded me of the girls at my high school. Gemma honestly could NOT have been molded into anyone more fit for the role.

What I'm meaning to say is that the only reason I didn't finish the story in a full 24 hours was a babysitting job and wanting to grasp each sliver of detail within the chapters. I could not stop reading between the lines of each character, and finding that even the tiniest, miniscule things fit together.

Reading the whole story was like putting together a jigsaw puzzle; confusing at times, which meant keeping the fire of curiosity inside blazing, but the pieces falling into place at the places it was supposed to.

Kudos to you, my friend; you put a lot of heart and soul into the story, and I thank you for that. If I was a typical teenage drama queen, I'd say that this story actually altered my personality a tad. But, well, I have a rep to uphold as the tomboy amongst my friends. ;) Can't wait for the sequel. (and the steamy Ezio/Gemma scenes...bow chicka wow wo-o-o-w...)
Nemesis Zaccarrio chapter 1 . 4/26/2011
I really like your story so far and I can't wait to read the rest. Just a minor correction. When the guard calls her "muto" is should technically be "muta" which is the feminine form. As a rule of thumb words ending "o" are singular masculine, words ending in "i" are plural masculine. Words ending "a" are singular feminine and "e" as plural feminine. Then there are slightly more complex rules such as "i" ending for a plural group of mixed sex, but whatever. lol. Besides that great chapter and I like how the start is original. I've found a lot of stories in the AC fandom starting with a innocent bystander (usually a girl) helping/caring for an injured main character. Props for originality!
Mo chapter 11 . 4/13/2011

Nemishysteria chapter 25 . 3/19/2011
Booooo Ezio didn't kill Borgia ! Booo ! I've always hated him for it ! I was shocked when I played the game, and still just as angry about it, if not more after reading this !

I am sad that it's finished. But I'm soooo glad you're going to write a sequel ! If this ever gets published, I'm buying, you did really really well, you're such a great writer. I only wish I could be as good.

Gemma is perfect. Always has been. I love her story, the way she goes from a kidnapped mute to Il Lupo to a runaway to a confident wife. It's beautiful, the whole story really is. ( And I really love how dark some of it is, it really adds depth to the story, instead of everything being perfect because the hero's there all the time. )

So there you are. I love it ! Please don't take too long coming out with the sequel ! x)
Narsha chapter 1 . 3/15/2011

For once I'm not sad that a story is ending b/c I know I have something else to look forward to ) I like how things ended and what it leaves open to deal with later down the line. Once again, nicely done!
