Reviews for Shatterglass and Stripped Seams
FanAddicted2000 chapter 28 . 5/22/2019
This chapter always makes me cry... I love your story the first time I've read it, but I think now I better understand the suffering of the characters and their reaction. you're really built deep and subtle characters, even the secondary characters, and your story is even more powerful thanks to that.

this very very dark story, is not something I thought I would want to read. However, I found that I could not tear my eyes away, and long to read more..of course, I want more, but less darkness. I would love to read how they continue to fight themselves as the darkness turns to light. Regardless...this was an excellent piece and even though it was dark dark dark...the cleansing light at the end felt so very right!

First I just have to say that this story is amazing. You focus a lot on each of the characters personal psychological complexes and write the agony and suffering that goes on excelently. I also loved the fact that you managed to make Sweets go all psychological on Cam without him seeming overly detached.

What I liked the best, was probably the way you wrote the fic allowed readers (or me, idk about anyone else :D) to connect really well with the feelings/emotions that are going on.

Pretty much it's the best non-cutesy/fluffy/romance-based Bones fic I've read in a while. Your dark Booth is by far the best I've ever read. Keep up the amazing work, and I hope to get an alert fora new story of yours in the near future.

You totally surprised me by being able to wrap this up in this one part. I really thought it would take at least 2 more after this. Really excellent, tight, tidy writing. The "Sir Seeley" and "Lady Temperance," even as a casting-back to "Yanks in the UK" felt...odd to me in this context, although the sentiment of him being like a protector certainly applies. I also wasn't sure what Brennan meant by asking "How do you know all of this?" after he begged her to let this one go...because I thought that, in the story, she knew that he knew the facts he's listing...and am not sure why she would question that he understood the implications, although I DO think it's hard for her, even for herself, to understand the farther-reaching emotional implications from which she has hidden for so long...and...perhaps that's what you meant...?

I especially am impressed by the painful, brittle, wrenching moment when Booth and Brennan argue over the difference between "the truth" as each sees it, and Booth convinces her to cry "Freedom" instead. And Brennan saying, so aptly, "It's all I'm used to. All I know," then her crying in a REAL way, even if she cut it short. Just...awesome release for both of them and for Cam from having to carry it all.

mendenbar chapter 29 . 9/28/2010
This has been a very good fic and I think the ending (with Max) to be quite appropriate all things considered. Booth's reasoning is impeccable. Thanks for the fic and I eagerly anticipate another.
EmeraldSoleil chapter 29 . 9/28/2010
