I really really enjoyed this story! In all honesty there were a few small plot points that personally I didn't care for, but sometimes it is hard for me to find good hurt/comfort fanfiction that is believable, creative, and most importantly, keeps the boys in character. you definitely nailed that and managed to stay away from all of the cliches and repetitive stories that fill a lot of the internet these days. anyway, really enjoyed it and just wanted you to know! nice job!

I really enjoyed this story. In only a few chapters, you took Dean through literal physical hell while taking him and Sam through the psychological journey of: why bother to keep fighting? If you hadn't had that discussion in here, and the examination of the brother's relationship, truthfully, the story would not have interested me half as much. I especially liked Dean's revelation at the end.

This is probably as bad as any of the tortures he endured in hell. Dean's desire to just give up is heartbreaking. I liked how Sam talked him out of it with guilt. My favorite line here: "'Ironically, my ass is the one thing that isn't hurting right now,' he said."

Where's the reverse ray?

Pretty neat trick, to take a ray of light in two episodes and turn it into a story. :) Poor Dean... I liked the way you describe Sam's taking care of him at the end of this chapter: "His brother pulled him into a sitting position against him so the back of Dean's head was resting against Sam's chest. Sam kept his arm wrapped protectively around him, which as much as he hated to admit it, relaxed him a little bit."
