Finally got around to reviewing this one! My lord. I never got around to saying it but I think this is one of my favorite fics from you yet. It's such a brilliant arc from start to finish and shows the journey of their friendship in such a beautiful way. Your incredibly intuitive, vibrantly descriptive and heartwarming analysis of these characters are, as always, a total joy to read. I just love how Kirk never, ever gives up on Spock- that seems like exactly what he would do. There are no "no-win" scenarios for him, and that would, of course, include a certain awesome Vulcan's friendship xD The description of the Captain reading his book in the first one-shot, Spock's kind of adorable, total shock throughout at having all his expectations of this human completely defied in the most surprising of ways, and finally the action of Kirk gently giving Spock a look at what he's thinking through the physical contact in the last one-shot were just a few of my favorite moments in this sweet, fun and beautifully written little story of a timeless, amazing friendship. And thank goodness Spock got a nice Christmas at long last! Heaven knows he deserves one. As always, keep up the stunning work, and thank you for another wonderful story! :D

Ok so I'm trying not to leave a comment on every single story of yours, because that would show how much of a stalker I'm being at the moment *coffcoff*, but I had to with this one: it just left me squirming and jumping up and down on the chair or wherever else I was reading, because aahh so good! Especially when Jim touches Spock's hand for a moment, and all the emotions that he sends him are so sweet and friendly, and then he moves his hand away and Spock kinda misses the contact... just too sweet!
In general, I really love your take on the beginning of their mission and friendship, it's refreshing to read of how they got to be friends, and of how Spock just ends up losing his battle against emotions. And really, you just make them both so human... in a totally non-insulting way for Spock, of course. And it ends up being such a great pleasure to read these stories, your fluff always manages to give me the warm fuzzies! So, as always, thanks for sharing :)

Very well done.

I saw this on DeviantART first and I loved it. So subtle and so in character, for all of them.
Unseen Watcher chapter 1 . 6/27/2013
I love tales of those three. Long may they roam in a universe that has no end for them. Lovely.
Milton Perry chapter 1 . 12/28/2012
Very nice, composed and subtle narrative style. The way you keep the merging ambience completely free of any melodramatic rubbish pleases me most. To lead the events to the top event of the year about trust and closeness is hazardeous, I found myself holding my breath being afraid for that genuine ambiance to be spoiled. However, you mastered that challenge in a brilliant way and gave a true example of I.D.I.C. I read with much pleasure.
Aileil chapter 1 . 9/7/2012
Blast those silly buttons huh? At least he wasn't in class with everyone looking to see who fell out of their chair and why. That would have been simply mortifying. Thank for this fabulous and delightful story of the way a friendship can form. I, myself, have always been something of an extrovert but I have had little luck in forming any sort of lasting bond with story shows that not only can anyone be friends but that they can become friends without strictly realizing the occurrence. You have given me hope that one day I will wake up to realize that I have had a friend for a long time that hasn't left or changed. One that I never knew I had. Thank you for your web of courage and inspiration.
StrictlySomething chapter 1 . 8/20/2012
