I always wondered why the Platonians picked Uhura and Chapel to beam down to the planet verses all the other women on the ship. My theory: We know that Parmen can read minds, we know that Christine always had a crush on Spock. Parmen scanned theirs thoughts and used it against them. Spock was attracted to Uhura, Uhura was attracted to Spock , Kirk was attracted to Uhura. That is why during the singing and kissing they kept changing Spock and Kirk around the women. Their feelings towards each other were exposed. Ouch! Roddenbury planned on hooking Uhura with Spock and the beginning of the TOS 4th season. Still mad at NBC for cancelling. But this is a good story to write about, good job!

Really good story! I especially liked the untangling of the total knot of the emotions felt by all the characters, but especially Spock, who has no idea how to even start to deal with all that he is feeling. I also liked McCoy's discussion with Spock-good psychology. And the ending provided a good laugh. Off to read the next installment :)

Some people no longer recognize or understand agape love; rather, they know only eros, and so mistakenly turn everything sexual.
