I loved it, a strong Shinji, a father figure for him, Shinji x Rei pairing, gendos dead, seeles gone, Asuka got what she deserved, MGS characters being badass, basically a happy ending.
And it fits in smooth with the story

And that is how you close two legend in one go. Honestly the closing was near perfect, tear jerking even. You closed this story the way it should be, well except for Asuka's ending, don't wanna delve into that anytime soon. Anyway, who would have thought that crossing these two together would have ended beautifully, all of it ended in a high note and had a great bow out.

When it comes to Evangelion crossover stories, its rare for me to find stories from this media I actually like. This story is one of the better ones on the site. I love how you were able to mold the continuities of both Evangelion and Metal Gear into one universe, along with how everything flowed together. The story's plot is well-written, the action's fantastic and you captured the spirit of both one of my favorite animes and video game series in a great light. I also thank you for creating a timeline to help me understand the story's events earlier and changing some aspects to flow things along.

Some of the things that I like about the story are many of my favorite MGS characters, especially Big Boss, giving their enemies, especially SEELE and Gendo (one of the worst anime dads ever) what they deserved, Shinji taking a level in badass and not taking shit from anyone anymore (although I would have loved to have seen him beat the ever-living fuck out of his other classmates because unlike Rei, Kensuke, Hikari and Touji, they didn't apologize when the truth came out about Asuka manipulating them), your willingness to kill characters on both sides off and not favor one over the other (my heart broke for some of the deaths) and the comprehensive detail and emotions you put into each of your stories. Also, I love how Shinji got the father figure he deserved in the form of Big Boss and that Rei and Shinji hooked up in the end (I prefer this couple slightly more over Shinji/Asuka). Also, I did not see the twist involving Keel Lorenz coming. Well played.

However, some of the downpoints of the story that stopped me from giving it a perfect score were the typos that occasionally distracted me from the plot, some characters like Shinji felt a little OOC at times and most importantly, look, I get that you were trying to make Asuka into a villain character and I respect that. But the constant bashing of her was a little extreme even for my tastes, as you wrote her as a shell of constant negativity while ignoring the more positive aspects of her character. This story would have been perfect had you painted Asuka as a tragic villain and executed her Face-Heel turn more properly, giving her more reason as to why she piloted for SEELE other than just wanting to end Shinji once and for all.

But other than those gripes, I consider this a well done story that left me feeling emotional at the very end. It isn't perfect, but it is what it is. Overall, I give this story an 8.5/10. Well done Snafu. You are a very talented writer.

God dammit. I know writing is hard and the fanfic has been very good until now, but that chapter with Azrael was weird and confusing and Asuka is not an insufferable bitch(not completely anyway) and this looks like a very lazy way to get a villain. not only that but the character development is horrible, Shinji disappears for several chapters and we barely have a vision of what is going on in his head. Rei is barely touched upon and rushed overall. And back to Asuka you either don't understand her character or you simply don't care. Being controlled by rage and becoming a sociopath makes no sense and she is simply treated as a shallow asshole. You could make her fight Arael and instead of becoming a vegetable having her become insane from his attack and power hungry it would make much more sense. Plus you barely touch on Evangelion characters at all, instead focusing on metal gear ones. The RAY 3 seems overpowered as F and you pretty much glorifies all metal gear related characters, it would be more interesting for Big boss to have to outsmart Gendo instead of simply putting him off limits. Most of the story seems(pardon the crude expression) like a huge metal gear fanboy jerk off session. Overall, it was lazy written.

Really good fic, i think you kinda underestimated the evangelions tough. I am no metal gear expert but wasn't one of the RAY models beat by Raiden? Unit 02 getting its ass kicked made sense with Asuka's sync being low but passing right through an at field (powerful enough to stop a nuke) seems kinda exaggerated
