He proposed in a book dedication? That is either super cowardly or super romantic...or both. It was really sweet. As I was reading it kind of envisioned her dropping the book in shock. I wanna know if anyone knew before hand-Lanie, Espo, Ryan (I refer to almost all of them by their last names. Weird.), her dad... Really good idea!

I cannot get over the fact that the ending is so THEM and SO POSSIBLE and you wrote it perfectly. Seriously. Perfect! I've read it countless times because it's so cute and it always makes me smile.
