ThreeKittiesDancing chapter 1 . 7/23/2014
This is a wonderfully written short story, and I just love how well you captured everyone. I also really love the amount of detail you included in your descriptions, and the level of thought you put into understanding and describing the functions of automail was so realistic, I'd think you have had personal experience with it!

It was really nice to see the way Mustang's crew interacts with Ed, and then of course, Mustang has to do something to get under poor Edward's skin, so to speak. I loved his reasoning behind why he does it though. Still, it's a sad indictment of their times in which their story is told, about the pathetic way that children are treated in Amestris if they lose their parents. Think about it, the Elric brothers' mother died, and they had no one to care for them, and the town, and by extension the country, let them live on their own, which led to the tragedy of them attempting human transmutation, which then led to a twelve year old boy having to enroll in the military as a means of providing for his younger brother and himself, not just to search for the Philosopher's Stone. Talk about having to grow up fast and young, whether you like it or not! If FMA had been set in modern times, there wouldn't have been a series, as little Edward and Alphonse would've been collected by the State after their mother died, then placed into foster care, where they most likely would've lost track of each other, and lived lives of abuse and not feeling connected to anybody. Hmm...that could also be a sad indictment of modern times, too, I think. Well anyway, at least Edward and Alphonse found people along the way through their adventures that cared about them, even if they did have funny ways of showing it.
Yuu3 chapter 1 . 8/2/2013
Interesting, I love it. I guess me and Roy are the same in our actions, tugging our own clothes afterwards. Still, love the ending, love the whole story in fact.
