I really enjoyed this - thank you for sharing it!
theLadyCheshire chapter 1 . 7/22/2014
holy toledo, that whopper should'a been split into like 4 chapters at least. excellently, brilliantly executed with the dark and the insanity and the whoa-there. well done, amazingly well done.
JustSlightlyCrazy chapter 1 . 6/20/2012
...phew. That was...that was...I think this is the first time I've ever been speechless. That was incredible. Every twist and turn in this story was just...seriously I'm having trouble coming up with words to describe just how amazing I found this story. You manipulated my emotions reading this story like a pro. Well done. And thank you for this brilliant, brilliant story. I don't think I've ever cried in relief before but you made me. :) x
twiinklestar chapter 1 . 1/9/2011
Holy mother of all things merciful. I think this is the longest one-shot I've ever read in my entire bloody life. And it was brilliant! It could have been a multi-chapter fic and I thought it was because of how long it was. I was just about to go to the next chapter!

Wow... this is such a good idea and I think it was incredible. I loved it and you should be rather proud of yourself. It was magnificent! I'm so glad that he was the real Sirius. I almost cried when he took the potion and was a shade. But turns out he wasn't and just... yay!
penmouse18 chapter 1 . 12/23/2010
Let me start by saying that this might be the best Remus/Sirius story I've read ever. Almost all other stories of them that I've seen seem to fudge over the difficult bits of their character, sugarcoating or just angsting over the same thing over and over again without providing any depth. Your story was very original, but it made me care for the Remus and Sirius as the characters from J.K. Rowling's work. Most of the time, when people write a story about them, they're not really the Remus and Sirius from the books, they're completely different people that just borrowed the names and life stories of Rowling's creations.
paintupurple chapter 1 . 11/7/2010
This story is just... unbelievably amazing. I can't wrap my mind around how brilliant it is. I actually wish what happens in this story happened in the books!

The writing is stellar, the plot is fantasticly mind-blowing, and the content is just delicious. Probably the best Remus/Sirius fanfiction I've ever read. Up there with the best fanfiction PERIOD.

Aaahhh I just... LOVE IT SO MUCH. 3
Sailor Comet chapter 1 . 10/25/2010
Right, so. I have loved this story ever since I found it on ravenswing dot com, but I am too shy to e-mail people out of the blue to tell them how much I love their fics. Reviewing on this site, however, I can manage!

So this fic. This fic is so very perfect. It is one of my all time favourite fics that Bring Back Black, partially due to the fact that you never REALLY kill him in the first place! And it's done so well, paced just right, you make us think one thing and wish it wasn't true even as we grow to accept it, and then you turn that over on itself and it's happy endings all around! Just. Man, I'd quote bits I like the best but I'd end up c/ping the whole fic, and that would just be silly of me. Suffice to say that I love this fic, thank you for writing it.
inlovewithpadfoot chapter 1 . 9/18/2010
Oh god! I loved this story. One of the best AUs written. don't usually go for AUs but this was especially brilliant. My favorite part was the sentence where Remus says he's just not Shakespearean enough.

Much love :D
tym4change chapter 1 . 9/6/2010
Oh wow. Can I just start by saying I almost didn't read this? Looking back, though, I'm so glad I did. But I'd been having a hard time finding good fic and was tired of reading...then I saw how long it was and that it was /one chapter/. My friend told me to go ahead and read it, and for that, I will be eternally grateful.

Now on to the actual story. Well, that was amazing. It was compelling and had a sturdy plot that lasted through the whole thing and managed to show the sides of the characters that we may not necessarily like to see, and that was so refreshing.

Your use of fragmented sentences, while occasionally distracting(can you tell that that is my singular piece of concrit?), was done in such a perfect way that I couldn't see this written any other way.

This took me so long to read, and that might have bugged me...but this was such an amazing read that I really hated to put it down.

Just...wow. Thank you for this.
mommyconk chapter 1 . 8/15/2010
I really enjoyed this. It was a lovely long read for a rainy Sunday afternoon. Remus was the only one that would take him in-so sweet.
torchide chapter 1 . 8/7/2010
This was VERY well done. I am in love with your themes of self-hatred, and the sex just worked in a very smooth way, keeping the theme of the story consistent.
CalliopeMused chapter 1 . 7/13/2010
Such a cool concept! This is just as dark and creepy as the original source material, and it translated from technology to magic with just the right feeling of shifting borderlines.
rekahneko chapter 1 . 7/11/2010
Wonderful!

Complex and fascinating and I love the plot line.

It really does remind me a bit of the book for which the story is named. That mixture of rationality and madness and the fight between belief and logic.

Good stuff.

meow chapter 1 . 7/9/2010
thank you for the philip k. dick reference, even before i read this i thought that well, this must have at least something interesting about it.

it's been a long night for me and un/fortunately reading is just what i needed to settle my stomach and all

it's also nice to come in contact with, no matter how small the contact, with someone who might just know more than the average person.

if there's something i hate, it's ignorance, and i'm happy to say that reading any sort of writing gives you more insight to the author than the characters, sometimes.

it's nice to have read a piece of your soul, i thank you.
