Ah, fellow Satoshi Tainaka user. It's rare for me to find people who actually use him as even a secondary character, much less a primary character like we both are doing. I never would've figured Mio being his love interest, since I always thought that he might have more chances with Azusa or maybe even Yui to some degree but whatever floats your boat.

Anyways, onto the review. The simple trigger story that begins with the unexpected. Storyline wise (though I've only read the first chapter), it's a classic and your writing convention is quite sound. Congrats, since there are quite a lot of people who don't have even that. However, there are a number of points for improvement.

Run-on sentences are your weakness at the moment while your narration is the strength. Take a look into cutting them up into more sentences and continue the superb storytelling. I'll look forward to reading the rest of this some other time, and go Satoshi! Secondary characters deserve attention too.

By the way, to answer your question, I put Satoshi as 15 in my story at his last year of Middle School and the main HTT core (Yui, Mio, Ritsu, Mugi) at 18 and at the last year of High School. Japanese school systems consist of three years per school level, so if you translate that to the timeline of your story (Mio being in 2nd year HS), Satoshi is 14 and Mio is 17. Not a bad couple, I guess.

I got to say 'ouch' for Ritsu.

That was a pretty awkward moment there. Hope to see more romantic moment between Mio and Satoshi!
