You are continuing to do an amazing work with your writing of the characters and on the details in the narration.

Finally we are getting Sam and Daniel's insight into their relationship and seeing their biggest worries.

Sam's insight and her conversation with Daniel and particularly the line "Yes, she's ours." triggered me into thinking how what they are going through could be as easily compared to a couple that couldn't have children finally getting to adopt a kid. I know that it doesn't have anything to do with the plot but it reminded me of this.
