This version of Mother Earth encompasses on what I view as her true personality, unlike the rest of fiction that makes her look self-centered.

Interesting idea, very interesting...

good story with an excellent point of view taking into account that if something has taught us this world is how hard it is the reality in which being sincere only the most capable are those who advance and survive the test of time
but I must say that after reading this I have a doubt
why humans simply did not use nuclear weapons to level the ground so that the tribes are eliminated, I mean that if they can build a ship capable of carrying passengers and other equipment they should be able to carry more powerful weapons in this way they save the work to eliminate the native threat and so they just have to wait a while and that's it
Moreover, if the exoskeletons they use can be reinforced against radiation, then the excavation work can be done almost immediately

This was an incredibly well written one-shot. I can not articulate the sheer amount of satisfaction after finding this gem among the many other fanfics out there. Well done.

I saw something exactly like this in a Type-Moon/ Infinite Stratos /Magic : The Gathering quest. The players (Ichiya) are the reincarnation of Lancelot. Houki is the reincarnation of Mishra and Tabane of Urza. When Houki learns about magic she immediately screws up the ideals of the family she's learnt the barest of magic from and rips massive amounts of power from the world instead of beseeching the tiniest bits of magic from world for help. It works. Because the planetary consciousness (Terra) is exactly like the Gaia from this story instead of regular Type-Moon Gaia.

What an awesome story. It's a rather refreshing take on the whole Cameron's Avatar universe and it also highlights the difference in approach between Gaia and Eywa. Good form, sir!
