That was really good! I always love coming across an original plot, with the two in a very unique setting. Fiction- writing professors was an excellent perspective to take. The little details you add in like about how Sasuke marks his scripts just made it that much more brilliant. A job well done to you!

First off, can I say I love you for how long this freaking oneshot is? And then, second, I love your writing style. I just love it. It's so to the point and argh, I don't even know how to describe it. :P

I really liked how Naruto and Sasuke's jobs were centered around writing. I dunno, I just feel like it made things a lot more interesting, especially because Sasuke's novel is basically a story about his life. And all the tension and friendship and back-and-forths between Naruto and Sasuke ... It's honestly what I imagine their relationship would've been like had Sasuke not left in canon.

All in all, loved it. Thank you so much for writing!

I am in love with this story. This is the best Naruto fanfiction (fanfiction in general, really) that I've read in I don't know how long. And I've been involved in creative writing workshops (both as undergrad and teaching) throughout college so I absolutely loved the background of this story. Just...this is so good! Thank you for writing it.

I enjoyed this one very, very much. A few mistakes, such as missing words, but nothing more. Would have loved to see some heavier action from our boys. But the scene you delivered was just as awesome. Loved the intensity.

Awesome! I love the way you write, and I have a thing for writer!naruto/sasuke. You did a good job taking their rivalry to that field.

Loved your characterization. Naruto bragging about being prolific is adorable, and the way he freaks out when sasuke turned him down you can easily feel how confused and scared he is. Sasuke is just sasuke: he cares about naruto but “In a strange way, involving many more insults and glares than were probably healthy”. Er, there were a lot of insults, but I guess that’s just them. Sometimes the only way they can understand each other is fighting. I really liked their dialogues and interactions. Oh, I also enjoyed Kiba and Hinata (and Akamaru) in their supportive roles.

I like the way you organized the story, starting from the middle and having us wonder what on earth THE THING THAT SHALL NOT EVER BE NAMED is, then letting us know what had happened and finally moving forward.

I got a little confused about the endings talk. Sasuke tells naruto that his endings are forced because he doesn’t let his characters lead, and that he should never stick to a plan. But then he tells him that he just can’t hope for a story to just come together just running on his character’s emotions. That seems a bit contradictory. Or perhaps I’m just too tired and got it all wrong haha. I guess in the end it all comes down to sasuke needing and agenda because he thinks things should happen for a reason, while naruto just lets things flow and follow his character’s emotions. (Easy for him to do that, he is writing short stories, not a novel ;))

Wow, first off let me tell you how amazing your writing is. It's thorough and descriptive throughout the entire story. I greatly appreciate stories that I can visualize in my mind. The sex scene... So hot! I've never read any of your stories before but I found this story as a favorite on another authors site and I am so glad I did. Amazing job and I look forward to reading more of your work... Also, Sasuke as uke does pleasant awkward things to me.
