Awesome! Loved this chapter as well. You write David so beautifully; I can really imagine that this is him, you get into his mind so well. I love how he refers to Astrid as "it", as though he disregards humans and their names. Amazing, I truly love this story and your writing.

This makes you appreciate David more, despite his lack of respect for humans, and unwillingness to help someone isn't drawn to or attracted to. Means he is loyal, and strong.

I like how he eventually warms to astrid...for she does develop a stronger personality after all.
