But seriously, loved this story. I forgot to check if this was completed, so I was honestly disappointed when by the eighth chapter, my eyes scanned the summary section, and I realized that this hasn't been updated in about seven years...

The little moments between Pip and Damien- the hand holding, Damien's protective behavior, the soft tone he used in this chapter to calm Pip down- were adorable. I couldn't stop smiling like an idiot. It was just so cute! Especially when they were forced to share a bed. (OMG THEY WERE ROOMMATES) That trope is one of my guilty pleasures, and I laughed out loud when Damien literally demanded Pip to get off the chair, and sleep together. Don't even get me started on the little snuggle bit-

I thought your OCs were pretty interesting. Damien's brothers were pretty chill, and I was honestly a bit stoked to meet the rest of his siblings. Even the whore of Babylon was fun to read- despite her putting the moves on a child who isn't even ten...

Just love the way you write. It's addictive, I could feel my dopamine levels rising with every word. Damien's little hot-and-cold attitude... sure Pip, I'll protect you and hold your hand basically half the pic, and protectively put my arm around you in our shared bed, but i-it's not like I like you or anything. I'm dumping you back home ASAP, b-baka.

Oh well. You do have your own life, and as someone who gives up while a quarter into writing their drafts, I don't have any right to judge you for your lack of updates. I'm a bit saddened, but at least you didn't leave off at a bad place. This could low-key be an ending... not that I want it to end like this, lmao.

I've had the misfortune of getting on this ship a few years late it seems. I've scrounged all if ao3 and here for Dip fics and have come up lucky a few times. I've read both great stories and ones so bad that I had to question the point of continuing when the proberbial well has truly gone dry as a bone.
Then I read your story.
It's well written, so in character and totally engrossing that I forgot it is uncompleted. I found that, yes I would love to read where you would take this further, but also didn't mind where it stopped too. I don't know if that makes sense at all, but it is what it is. I'm going to follow it anyway because who knows right? If not though, I am and probably always going to be in love with this fiv

Oh noes! Cliffie! And it seems to be the las chapter too. (cries) I hope this isn't discontinued, it's really good!
