Well written, I really enjoyed it. I always wondered if Gabrielle raised Hope, if it would make a difference. I see in your view that it is just delaying the inevitable. I would read a follow up if you made one ;). I also enjoyed how you inserted the truth along the story she was telling Hope.

I like how you edited the story for the child, yet still told the real one in the background. Stylize way this was very well done. I like the impending doom at the end as well, and I wonder if Xena is going to be right, or does changing things also change the child? I'd like to see more, but at the same time I feel like it's a good one-shot that stands on it's own and doesn't really need any more. Thanks for sharing it.
