In all my years of reading [reasonable to good] quality stuff written on the internet, this is probably one of the most emotive sentences that I have read:

"When she tells him of her guardian, he tells her of his ghosts; how the first was deep in battlesleep while the other was weighted down with stones."

Minus three words and you'd have two lines of iambic pentameter.

These one-sentence prompts have created some really beautiful work, and yours is absolutely one of them. Great mix of humor and drama, detail and emotion. "Wash" was an extraordinary moment, where something mundane is suddenly transformed. And I loved "Fortune," just because of the deceptively simple insight it provided into Oriana's character.
