I don't know. It reminds me of an exercise we had to do in Stylistics and Poetics. One of the options-the one I chose-was to write a conversation between two characters, where one started out with the power in the conversation, and then it changed, and then changed back. Funnily enough, I did an excerpt for a "Labyrinth" story, where Jareth started with the power, and ended with it.
