what happened? i need more of an explination

...It's nice that they're together in death, but not so nice that Sasuke never made anything of his life. He never got to visit another country or spend the night away from his house. He never got to make plans for his future and decide what kind of career he's like. And he never got the chance to make a friend besides Naruto. He was a victim all the way until the end, dying alongside his mother. As wonderful as Naruto is, he's not adequate compensation for all of that. No one is.

The worst part is that Itachi managed to get out, so if he could have held on for a few more months, Sasuke could have gone to college someplace far away, just as Itachi did. Sasuke had just turned 16 when he died, which means that he was in his senior year since he'd skipped a couple of grades in school. The problem is whether or not Naruto would have been able to follow Sasuke to a new home, but I think he probably could have. Naruto was able to leave the house on Halloween, and the first time Sasuke saw him, Naruto was outside the house, so I think the reason Naruto stuck around was Sasuke, and not because he was specifically tied to that house. In which case, Naruto and Sasuke could've continued their unconventional love affair until Sasuke died naturally of old age. Fugaku killing him wasn't the only way for them to be together. I dunno. For me, the ending is more bitter than sweet.

Waa, why is this so sad...

This was lovely. I loved Sakura's perspective at the end- it was a perfect way to tie everything up. You have the gift of saying a lot with only a few words.
