Reno is such a cool character to write for, I could see him picking a slow jaz song for sure. He really is the write mix of bad boy and sweet cutie. I could see reno lavishing tifa with the attention that cloud just cant seem to muster. Really cute fic made me smile.

That was simply beautiful! I love this couple too and have yet to write a fic that centres on Reno, but I do plan on doing so. This was well-written and above all realistic and believable with the characters staying true to their personas. Well done!

I'd like to dance to a jazzy song with Reno; I actually found myself replacing me with Tifa in this story when they started to dance. lol Just 'cuz I think Reno would be a great dancer! :) Anyways, good job!

Your first FFVII fic, but I hope it won't be your last. You write these two very well, with great dialogue and a light touch. I don't think they're OOC - maybe Tifa might have been before Advent Children, but since she's obviously forgiven him for dropping the plate, this scene is very believable. And you justify her attitude towards him very well: a mingling of physical attraction, gratitude for what he did for Denzel and Marlene, and her woman's intuition that there is more to this man than meets the eye. (If he was actually serious about her, he'd be so much better for her than Cloud!). Their slightly edgy, slightly affectionate banter was very effective in establishing their characters and their relationship.

I loved this line: "She reached for the bottle of vodka she had been using to fill his shot glass for the better part of the night."

The actual dance part, with Reno so gentle - and momentarily honest - was touching. They've found that they're more alike than they thought!

Good job keeping it in Tifa's viewpoint and voice throughout. Steady camerawork there!
