Very nice!

A few general things:

- At one point, while Julian still is missing his hands, you show him flipping someone off. I guess he could have done this with his TK - kind of his own riff on Wolverine flipping people off with his claws, etc - but it's not specified as such and threw me a bit.

- The time jump near the end is both intriguing and off-putting. I love short stories, and most of this works well as one; but that time jump is hard to reconcile, because there's so much that happens that we're simply told about - how their relationship grows deeper and the incident with Predator X in particular. You of all people don't need me to tell you that you need to write "more," but the way this story is now, it does seem to be asking for more.

Thanks for sharing! Those things aside it was still adorable and fun.

this was a great little oneshot and it seems like every time i read one of your stories i notice where the plot differs from the comics and i wish the authors would read your fanfiction.

anyway the scene when she cut off her hand was great if a little creepy...okay very very creepy. in other words it was classic laura.

loved it! though the part where he flips surge off was a bit... weird. lol

still I love the idea of a jealous surge. wish you'd use and develop that premise in future fics! :D

I loved your story, just like your other Helix stories. I really wish somebody knock some sense into Surge.

Longtime reader here, and I have to say, I sort of love you for writing these two, and doing it so very well! You've got a terrific understanding for these characters - while it's fairly easy to understand Laura (given that she's got so much material), Julian is a different matter entirely, being not as simple as he first seemed.

Minor quibble, you write at some point that Julian gives Nori the finger - um, how does he do that without hands?

Awesome story! Loved how it fit in nicely with the events in the comic. I read X23 #1 and loved the Laura/Julian moments. Screw Surge! In the words of Dust, she is the b word. Anyway great job on the story. Hope there will be more of them. Peace! X23/Hellion rules!
