| MsFrizzle chapter 14 . 12/29/2018 I stumbled onto this fic and as you may guess, I'm delighted to find an amalgam of two of my favorite shows. You navigated the tricky waters between an educational science program and a science fiction show that perhaps uses more magic. At times this presented a tension between a scientific view that demands scrutiny and evidence and the inspiration of wonder and mystery. You want to keep an open mind but not so open that your brains fall out. I liked the way you show this from different character's point of view to bring out the thinking process. I thought it was particularly clever that you made a connection and an explanation for the class and the TV production. I was quite tickled at the implications that the Bus might be akin to the Tardis and how extraordinary both the Doctor and Ms. Frizzle are. There were many times when I thought the evidence presented was rather sketchy and circumstantial |
