HowlynMad chapter 1 . 5/1/2012
I have a couple of nieces and yeah they do come up with some ackward questions... but then again it's only ackward to us "adults". For the kids, it's just another bit of curiousity. So what does that tell us I wonder...
MissBliss8527 chapter 1 . 10/17/2011
If a small child asked me an awkward question like that, I would simply shrug and say haven't the foggiest, which normally works. :) Nice one-shot by the way!
highland girl 1592 chapter 1 . 8/4/2011
I wonder if we saw the same scene,

the Disco Pigs one,I

I didn't see Pig looking at the baby

as if he was a pile excrement but

more as if he had never seen a baby

before! then just before he

leaves he gives the baby a shy, sweet

smile.:)I have no doubt that Cillian

Murphy is a wonderful dad to his two

little boys.:)But since this story IS about

Jonathan Crane/Scarecrow he would see

kids a major pain in the .

Oh,I was asked the 'what's a condom?'

question by a little boy.I told him

that it was an apartment.:D

The coitus question beats it hands down, though!lol.

Oh boy would I love to read the book "Married to a Rake." xDD And this made my night by far. I'm so glad I decided to track down this fic again and take the time to actually read it. :3 This was the most hilariously adorable thing I've read in a long while, so thank you for that. Crane was handled perfectly, even in this bizarre situation he found himself in with the child, especially with wanting to encourage learning. :) Great job on this.

HAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Rose Eclipse chapter 1 . 10/7/2010
Loved this hilarious little ditty! Crane would definitely not want anything to do with kids or cute things. "He would have preferred dealing with a raving schizophrenic than with the boy", too true! Also a refreshing change from the girl-turned-Scarecrow-lover stories out there. And the kid's got a Spider Man backpack, which is a nice touch between the Marvel/DC lore.

On a side note, I've yet to see "Disco Pigs" but I'm working my way through C. Murphy's other films. He clearly does psycho-nutterness down pat in "Red Eye" but his performance in "Breakfast on Pluto" is tearfully adorable.
Luvisia chapter 1 . 9/26/2010
Oh my God. This was so... Adorable! And what a coincidence, a little three year old was bugging me today. I loved how you potrayed Crane! Awwww! I will die of the cuteness of that situation! I can just imagine if he had kids and they had to have "The Talk". LOL!
Kaya Nah chapter 1 . 9/26/2010
Sorry it took me long to review, I've had an eventful couple of days...

I laughed my butt out with that oneshot! I was uncomfortable for Crane, poor him, lol. The coitus part was the best! Kids can really ask questions which can be really uncomfortable. They truly live in blissful ignorance. Once I was asked by a kid what a condom was... Yerrr...I can understand why Crane was blushing, lol.

The kid is too adorable, could picture him clearly in my mind! ;P

Well done sweetie, another great oneshot! :D Made me smile! ;)

DesirevsNoodles chapter 1 . 9/25/2010
ROFLMAO! VERY funny story :D

It's awesome how your writing is very effective with humour in it. I LOVE IT. You should make a sequel about other kinds of people like dugs addicts or grannies talking to him xD That would be hectic!

FlowersWither chapter 1 . 9/24/2010
I have no words to describe how cute and adorable this story is. I absolutely love it. Your writing is just perfect. Everything in this story is perfect. You are so amazingly talented.

Your idea is truly unique and the realization is absolutely brilliant.

The little boy is so very cute, I want to hug him. I liked your physical description, the glasses, the freckles, it was too cute. I can see him tugging Crane sleeve, and this image is absolutely adorable. The way Crane reacted to his questions was priceless. I could just picture him saying and acting the way you had written him. You really captured his essence and made him perfectly in character. His inner thoughts and reactions are so perfect (It needs to be repeated over and over again; your story is perfect and so adorable).

The way Crane tried to handle the situation, and his terrified reaction to the boy’s questions was amusing, I couldn’t stop laughing. The fact that Crane told the story about the bees and the birds was too funny. I just love the way the boy gets to him and how Crane gets more flustered. Too cute for words.

I love your story and I adore your writing style. Thank you for sharing this such an amazing and lovely oneshot.
kriitikko chapter 1 . 9/24/2010
When you had Crane shout "Jesus Christ, kid!" I loled. I honestly loled. :)

This was very amusing to read, good work.
HoistTheColours chapter 1 . 9/24/2010
Oh, I forgot to mention something. You asked me if I could recommend any good Crane fics... sadly, I cannot mention very many. The only one I am reading at present is 'Plausibility' by the author Night Monkey and it is very, very good. There's a lot of humor in it if you like that sort of thing, but it's not really a romance, if that’s what you were looking for. Either way, I'd check it out if you were interested. Sorry I can’t be of more help. I like to watch Scarecrow/Crane in the BB/TDK movies, but I don’t particularly like to read about him, which is why I stick to reading about the Joker. Anyway, I hope you find what you’re looking for.
HoistTheColours chapter 1 . 9/24/2010
Lorien Urbani,

I cannot open this review without first stating that I have this huge, huge smile on my face, and it won't go away. With hat being said, I have two words for you:

Absolutely. Adorable.

My goodness, when did your writing get so amazingly /good/? I have to say that I was very, very impressed. Your prose sounded intelligent and crisp, (as usual,) but I feel like you really kicked it up a notch for this fic. And the thing is, it fits Crane so well, the intelligent prose, I mean, so I give you major points for that.

Now, back to the adorable part. When you said there was going to be a child in this fic, I immediately assumed it was going to be little girl. I was surprised, however, to see that it was a small boy-a very cute, small boy, mind you-and I loved his character the very second you said he was wearing a Spiderman parka. That's all it took for me, seriously. Can I adopt him now?

I loved all his questions, (children /love/ to ask questions-ceaselessly,) and I just couldn't stop laughing when the child asked what "coitus" was. Crane's reaction was hilarious but slightly expected, but I loved it all the same. And I loved also how the boy asked if it was something that Crane did. That was too funny.

Overall, I really, really got a kick out of this. I wish I had more to say, but honestly this story is so cute and delightful and I think that’s the only way I can sum it up. You’re an amazing writer, and I don’t just say that to anybody, so I hope you take that to heart.

Thanks for making this. :)

Sincerely,

HoistTheColours
