WillTheWatcher chapter 1 . 7/14/2013
I just wanted to let you know that this is the best oneshot I have read in at least 18 months. Thank you.
Sole Fire chapter 1 . 5/22/2011
That was...incredible. Heart-breaking. It made me cry for honest, and at some point it became almost painful to read. Such sad, sad and dark and hopeless story, and such perfect Leliana. For Alim, I just have no words. But you broke my heart for sure, and I feel, it'll last for long. It's rare, really very rare to read such striking story: I almost cannot remember well, when I did so last time. Thank you. It hurt to read and comprehend such a turn to familiar events, but it was beautiful beyond belief.

Maybe, If you don't mind, I'll try to translate story into Russian. I'm not sure, I'd make it as perfect as it is, but I'm willing to try. If you're fine with it, please, tell me you're agreeing to it, as I really need your approval. My mail is

Once more, you have all my gratitude I can muster under such impression.
Hikoru Aniki chapter 1 . 9/30/2010
You know, I never was a big fan of Leliana, but in this she is pretty awesome. The introspection of the piece is particularly good, as it flows rather like normal thought without being too direct or loose.

Overall, very nice work.
Gene Dark chapter 1 . 9/26/2010
Interesting and very intense psychological study. You have Leliana spot-on: her mixture of worldiness and idealism and her need to recreate the world through storytelling. The twist with the Harrowing was gruesome and plausible (we know from Flemeth and Uldred and even Wynne that possessed mages don't always look like abominations)Then again, Leliana could be right. With Bioware's plot, it's a wonder any PC comes out sane, and Alim's already low self-esteem could lead to that kind of depression.

Hats down. The slow pace reinforces the melancholy feeling and I love the blurring of reality and imagination in the aging heroes.
Snafu1000 chapter 1 . 9/26/2010
Congratulations on the creation of a unique, compelling and touching story. You did an excellent job of unfolding revelation after revelation, leading the reader on to the end, and I like the touch of ambiguity that remains: whether the demon is real or a figment of Alim's imagination.
