Re reading this after 4 years, I now see a lot more connections and unfortunately, it just reminds me how unfinished this story is and how I doubt it will be finished at all, which is unfortunate cause this is likely one of the most complex and deep plots I'v read in a Fan Fiction and you constantly have the feeling they you don't understand the world in the light it is being presented and its brilliant, yet, still so unfortunate that it is unfinished and will likely remain that way.

I find it ironic that 4 and a half years ago I said I was going to re read this and hear we are, 4 years 4 months and 18 days to get from chapter 1 to chapter 2, I do still hold hope that this story will get finished, though I doubt it will be finished as its been almost 5 years to the day since it has been updated, though I would like to ask if you have unofficially canceled it or if you just don't have time to write it anymore, anyway, this is still a great story with a lot of deep lore and deeper meanings and it is still one of my most favorite stories here

Honestly, not being able to kill a dragon? Fucking pathetic.
I mean, all his knowledge points to it being a serial killer etc., remorseless monster. He's been raised among Vikings where death is a daily occurrence, with great helpings of it every raid. And he can't kill something that truly deserves it? Unfortunately, I see that as nothing but a plot point to make the story happen. I just can't see any actual viking child unable to do it. Canon /3

You miss a few periods and the landscaping could use a little preliminary work. But other than that, meh.

Right, now I know why I don't like this story at this point. I don't care about the characters or anything that happened to them. Sure this is technically well written, but there's nothing here that hooks me into caring about all of this "elaborate world building".

Your writing style is spectacularly detailed, and paints me a vivid image in my mind as I read. I'm very impressed, do keep writing and strengthening this skill, it will only improve.

-What happened to edgy toothless at the beginning the change was too sudden
-Basically just a retelling of the movie, key movie scenes are largely unchanged

But largely my opinion is irrelevant, keep doing what you love!

This has been one of my favorite httyd fanfictions, and the sci-fi aspect gives a very unique feel to this story. would love to read more

I just wanted to say that the way you described the movie in a written form, made it feel like the movie shortened this story, it was that good. now, I'll go back to reading where you go from here!
