333alen333 chapter 25 . 7/15
Man, I love this.
If you're planning to rewrite this, maybe you should focus more on Minato and his interactions with Hamuko and the rest of SEES.
Also, I agree with Final Faux and that Minato should be locked to one Persona.
So yeah, this was a nice read and I hope you can pick it up again.
Mystik Owl chapter 25 . 5/5
This was an incredibly entertaining journey that shall stay in my mind for the rest of my life. I do really wish to read more, but do what you feel like. I am thankful for having been able to read this wonderful tale. Wishing you well!
BraveOcelot chapter 25 . 1/1
Uh... hey. So, I discovered this story 3-4 days ago through TvTropes (it's listed among the examples of the Peggy Sue trope), read through it on AO3, saw the author's note, and figured I should comment.

I've never played Persona 3 (although I did find the manga recently), however, I've had it quite thoroughly spoiled for me. That being said, I've found this fanfiction very enjoyable and written pretty well (if a little clunky at times). While there have some times where I'm left wondering "what happened with such-and-such?" or "what's going on here?", and then assume that you've got a plan to resolve or explain things in later chapters, I'm not seeing any genuine holes in the plot. I'm liking the characterization of both of the Arisatos, and while Minato's powers/time-travelly-status need a little more explanation, his power level makes sense and is more than acceptable. Overall, the story has a lot of potential.

I'd be okay with seeing the story continue as it is, but if you're convinced that your writing quality has improved enough for a rewrite to be necessary, then go for it. I'm not sure what I can say about how much time it is going to take (I have my own difficulties with that sort of thing...), but, just do whatever feels right to you (unless it involves deleting what's already been written, please please please don't do that). I'm excited to see where this story is going to go either way, and even if you don't continue it, it's still a good story.
CA184 chapter 25 . 12/25/2019
As someone who grew up reading this fic, I personally think you should rewrite this story. I know that just sounds like a crazed fan demanding more, but it has so much potential. I already enjoyed what I read thus far, though was discouraged as it was an unfinished work. Some bits, the rewrites of the game, dragged admittedly but you can always make a creation your own. Screw what people have to say. If you like it, then embrace that.

Of course that's not to say you have to keep with it. Only do it if you want to. That's just my thoughts on the matter is all.

Whatever you choose, I wish you the best of luck.
The Final Faux chapter 2 . 11/29/2019
I've always had a healthy dislike for fanfic authors who dig their own plotholes willfully. My main gripes so far are also fairly simple, such as why Minato and Hamuko share the surname "Arisato". Is that strictly necessary? Are they actually related? If "No" is the answer to either of those questions, then it should have been changed; i.e. Chekhov's Gun. You omit needless details whenever possible.

But I digress. It's not bad, so far. But... You know what would have made things REALLY interesting? Some proper grounding and foundation work for this parallel universe Minato has found himself in. Most of it is there already, but why don't we provide a reason for Hamuko's existence: what if the "Minato Arisato" of this world never had Death sealed inside of him? What if his parents weren't on the Moonlight Bridge when Aigis fought Death, and thus she had to seal it inside of a different bystander-turned-orphan? What if THAT was Hamuko? Now, let's carry on. Minato arrives in this world, jerking up from his bed. But what if it was not "his" bed, the one in the Iwatodai Dorm; no, what if he was somewhere else? With two strangers who call him their son? Or, if you like, he could still be an orphan. It'd be easier, and it doesn't really matter.

Eventually he meets Hamuko, who fits all the thematic characteristics he once had. Hell, you could even give him a new persona (it's sensible, given persona are reflections of one's true self and they evolve in response to the trials we face, such as Minato being forced to accept his fate as the Messiah; i.e. as a Hanged Man), AND it covers up the plothole of them inevitably sharing the same persona, Orpheus. You could even goes as far as to restrict him in the same way as all the other, "ordinary" persona users; being limited to just the one. This would be due to the fact he is no longer bound to the Velvet Room via the contract - Hamuko is. Either way, he would find his way to the plot and would then be moved into the Iwatodai Dorm à la Kirijo-ex-Machina. You could even tie up the "Two Deaths" plothole with the inclusion of the fact that Death was no longer inside Minato when he arrived in this parallel world, thus there is still only the one in Hamuko.

But that's all just what "I" had envision. In the end, the story is yours to do with as you wish.

The way Minato punch her freaking shocked me.
Clerriosol chapter 25 . 3/27/2019
Huh, as a writer (that never post their stories), this makes me kind of sad to see. But I have to say I did enjoy this a lot. As a person who has never played P3P, reading this was an experience.

Hope that you're doing great as a writer, good luck out there!
Jaquan chapter 25 . 1/15/2019
Shame it ends like that. I actually enjoyed it even with its downsides. I mean it would be pretty boring if Minato could one-shot everything. Although I didn't exactly like how he kept alienating others as if the only reason he talked with others was because of Social Links. I mean sure they could accelerate stuff but still it made his sacrifice feel less genuine.
kidgokuismywaifu chapter 25 . 12/15/2018
If you find the motivation for it, I would look forward to a complete rewrite. I think what's most important is having a good story, and if you have to start over from scratch to be satisfied with it, I think you should. If you don't want to that's understandable, but I would be interested in a rewrite. I think the concept has a lot of potential, and I have yet to see anyone explore that fully, so I would love to see what you can do with it now. Thanks for the story, I had fun reading it.
ShinyKyu chapter 25 . 12/14/2018
I did enjoy reading this. Your writing seemed to improve as time went on. I hope you edit the last chapter and continue, though I don’t blame you if you choose not too.

The only criticism I have to say might be about how much Minato recognizes the SEES members as they show up. He always finds them familiar, but doesn’t fully recognize them like “oh, that’s Fuuka” or “oh, that’s Ken.” Even if it’s been over a year, NO ONE would forget their closest friends’ faces. He’s known each of them for AT LEAST several months, and these are all people he’s fought with. Even weirder, he apparently remembers other, less important Social Links immediately, yet not all of the members of SEES.
Guest chapter 6 . 11/28/2018
Hamuko and Minato remind me of how my siblings fought in this chapter

JDH1080 chapter 25 . 4/23/2018
I've been following this story for quite a while. Almost since the beginning, I think. And every time an update came I thoroughly enjoyed each chapter. I am sad to see you giving up on this, I really did want to see how things turn out. But I can understand your frustrations, there areany stories that I have abandoned simply due to how much my writing has changed. Some of my more popular stories are ones that I now dislike greatly due to how bad my writing was. And I know I have no right to ask you to continue this if you don't want to, I'd be a hypocrite if I did, so I'll thank you for what you have given us this far. I hope your future endeavors prove fruitful for you, and if you ever do come back to this I will gladly keep reading.
Chai-Emlee chapter 25 . 4/20/2018
I'm honestly sad to see that this story will no longer continue. It's true that the beginning chapters were a bit of a slog to read through, with Minato and Hamuko's interactions feeling rather forced? Stiff? I think I dropped it at some point.

But I came back, and sometime during the Fuuka rescue arc, I fell in love with this story. It was a gradual change but by the time the island arc passed, I was definitely hooked. Things started becoming really interesting, and it made me think.

I'm thankful that you've made this note. Quite a few authors leave their readers hanging in hopes for a new chapter. As much as I want more content, I also understand the frustration of rewriting or continuing a story where you dislike the previously written chapters.

Thank you for this interesting read and I do hope to see more from your writing. It has definitely gotten better over the years.
Ashleythetiger chapter 25 . 4/16/2018
I really cant recall what got me hooked on this story:( I think it was the Hamuko an Minato reactions.

Tho i do recall looking up your name a year ago to reread this unfortunately after abit I have forgotten alot of the story.

In any case thank you for the story, if you ever do decide to come back to this either to rewrite or continue please inform us? (In the case of reviews I personally have moved on to spacebattles as its faster an easier to leave my thoughts than on this site)
