This. Is. Amazing. Definitely getting the brotherly vibes in chapter 12, so sweet. I think Theta is the elder.
Everyone is so perfectly in character, and I love how Rory uniquely relates to the Master since he's actually worked with mental illness. Precious Rory. I also like Amy - you've perfectly captured both her fire and her naivety.
Even though you seem to have abandoned this, i'll just continually reread what's already up ;)

Okay, this story is just amazing ! I mean, the writing is great, the plot is great, the depiction of the characters is pitch-perfect... Besides, I just wanted to let you know that it is this fic that brought me to Life on Mars. Not living in the UK I had never heard of it and man, it was so good ! So thanks for this amazing fic and for this discovery I know it's been a long time since you've updated it but is there still a chance you continue this story ? Either way, congrats for this great job.

Ok, I have reread this story more often than I'd like to admit but it's just so fantastic. You do such a great job at not only capturing the individual characters but also the relationship between the Master and the Doctor. The line in this chapter 'Some of the memories were clearly not the Master's-not unless he had taken to dressing up as the President during the War, which the Doctor wouldn't put past him-' has not yet failed to make me laugh even once. I can't wait to see where you take this story.

Wow, this is very good. You did marvelous with the Doctor and the Master's characters. They were very themselves. :) Yes indeed, quite a fantastic story. Bloody brilliant, wot? Pip-pip, cheerio. Tea and biscuits and other English words. Good story, miss.

poor thing...

So I picked up this story thinking "Oh, well I like one-shot collages, this'll be a fun one!" And then I get to the third, fourth, fifth chapters and I'm like, "Wait, this is a story. Like, a legit plotline-rising-action-climax-characters-and-emotions story. This is the real deal. This is the endgame. This is IT!" And now I'm all emotionally attached and stuff. I hold you accountable for that - and I mean that as a negative thing, don't you dare think that was a compliment! Because if you think that's a complement then that means that you're happy that I'm sad and I don't want to think you're a mean person because mean people don't update their amazing stories... You know what? I'm confusing myself, let me start again.

I really was astounded when I noticed that this was an actual story. I mean, yes, I read that you said there was going to be something of a plot and story arcs, but you also said it was going to be loosely followed. I have now come to the conclusion that that is exactly the opposite of what you've done. These aren't one-shots, they're chapters! All of them building into the plot as any good author is wont to do, each one of them having bearing on the next. I came expecting a puddle, but instead I get an ocean! Not bad. Not bad at all.

I really, truly want to say that your portrayal of these characters was far beyond my expectations. I was so captivated at the exchange between the Doctor and the Master - the one when they were talking to each other through the door - that a couple of times I stopped breathing. I can hear their voices so perfectly and it still makes me jittery just thinking about when the Master was threatening the Doctor: "I'm sorry, did I say you?" And my heart skipped a beat. I was like, "Oh f**k. Oh dear Lord." and nearly covered my face to hide from his tone and from the reaction I knew the Doctor was going to have. I can't stress enough how well you nailed those next lines. "You meant me." And that time I really did cover my face. I was pretty scared, not gonna lie. It was so. Perfect... So. Perfect.

I have absolutely zero critique to give you, I'm sorry. I feel bad for not being able to help you learn and grow as an author- as I believe that's the purpose behind a review- but your writing abilities are astronomically better than mine and I really have nothing to offer you. I just felt like I needed to tell you exactly what your words did to me; and I'm not exaggerating when I said I was scared. I really was- the Doctor is a scary dude. I'd be more afraid of him than the Master any day of the week.

I've only recently started Dr. Who and only a week or two ago did I finish the series and get into the FanFiction. I'm so glad I stumbled across this as I did. I want to be able to read it as it's being written, to leave a review on every chapter if only to be here to encourage its continuation. Thank you for making my trip into the Dr. Who fandom worth my while!

In the eighteenth paragraph down there's a word missing from the second line. Could you edit that or leave a note explaining what the Master was trying to say? I'm curious :). I love this fic btw and can't wait to read more.
